If you don't, we'll make it right.

Buying a ring online is a significant decision. Our return policy is designed to remove the risk from that decision — not to minimize it.

30-Day Returns
If the ring isn't right for any reason, return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. No lengthy explanations required. We process refunds within 5–7 business days of receiving the return.
Free Return Shipping
We provide a prepaid insured shipping label for all returns within the US. The ring is covered for its full value during transit back to us. You don't pay for the label.
Certificate Included
Every diamond ships with its IGI or GIA grading certificate. This is your permanent record of the stone's quality — keep it regardless of what you decide.

The return process

Contact us within 30 days of delivery
Email hello@rivernorthdiamonds.com with your order number and let us know you'd like to return. That's it for this step.

We send you a prepaid label
Within one business day we'll send a prepaid, insured shipping label by email. Print it and pack the ring in its original box with all included materials.

Drop it off at any UPS location
Hand it to any UPS counter — no need to find a specific store. Get a receipt for your records. Do not leave it in a drop box for a return of this value.

Refund processed within 5–7 business days
Once we receive and inspect the ring, your full refund is issued to the original payment method. You'll get an email confirmation when it's processed.
Return conditions
What we ask

The ring should be returned in the same condition it was received — unworn, unaltered, and with all original packaging and materials including the diamond certificate. We inspect every return before processing the refund.

We understand that you'll try the ring on and that's expected. "Unworn" means not used as a daily-wear piece before returning — not that it has never touched a finger.

What isn't eligible for return
Rings that have been resized, engraved, or altered by a third party after delivery
Returns initiated after 30 days from the date of delivery
Rings with visible damage not present at delivery (scratches from wear, bent prongs, etc.)
Missing diamond certificate — the certificate must be included with the return
Returns shipped without the prepaid label we provide (we cannot guarantee coverage for self-arranged shipping)
Exchanges & questions
Exchanges

We don't currently offer direct exchanges through an automated system. If you'd like a different diamond, different setting, or different metal, the easiest path is a return followed by a new order. We're happy to help you navigate this — email us and we'll make it as smooth as possible.

If the issue is ring size, we offer one complimentary resize within 60 days of delivery. Simply email us at hello@rivernorthdiamonds.com with your order number and the correct size — we'll arrange the resize at no charge to you, with shipping covered both ways. After 60 days, or for a second resize, a fee applies depending on the extent of the adjustment; we'll quote you before proceeding.

Damaged or incorrect orders

If your ring arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, contact us immediately at hello@rivernorthdiamonds.com with a photo. We will resolve it at no cost to you — replacement, repair, or full refund — within one business day of hearing from you.

This is rare, but it happens. When it does, we make it right without friction.

A note on trust
A generous return policy shouldn't be something you have to search for. It should be the first thing we tell you. At $2,000–$4,000, buying a ring online requires real trust. We know that. This policy exists to earn it.
